A 2018 BBC interview propelled the pan-African creative team of Kugali Media into a collaboration with Disney.

The result? "Iwájú," a six-episode animated series set in a futuristic Lagos.

As the series premieres, the filmmakers discuss their journey, the challenges of bridging tradition and progress, and the potential of "Iwájú" to empower African voices and bring about global understanding.
