Newcastle manager Eddie Howe says he wants to see Alexander Isak back in the clubs shirt and that the players would "welcome the striker back" despite the Swede releasing a statement this week saying Newcastle had broken promises made to him.
Isak wants to join Liverpool but a £110m bid was rejected by Newcastle earlier this month.
The player is now training away from the first team and will miss Newcastles game against Liverpool on Monday after also being absent for last weeks opening game of the Premier League season.
